The AEO standard achieved by Global Containers back in 2012 was at the highest level (Customs Simplifications/Security & Safety), this is a tough accreditation to achieve and HMRC go through all of our systems processes and procedures to ensure that we operate at the highest level, and therefore become a trusted trader with HMRC.
As part of the periodic re-assessment process, HMRC completed their review of our systems in November 2023 and have confirmed that we continue to meet the required high standards of AEO. The re-assessment process not only looks at our procedures, but also includes auditing our files, checking our internal audits and looking at how we obtain and validate data to enable accurate Customs declarations that comply with current HMRC legislation within the Government framework.
The accreditation gives our customers the reassurance that their work is in safe hands, and that they are dealing with a professional organisation.
