The world’s largest container ship, the OOCL Hong Kong made its maiden call at the Port of Felixstowe on 21st June 2017.

The ship is 400 metres in length and 58.8 metres in width. The ship has a carrying capacity of 21,413 TEU (20ft equivalent containers).

Built at Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in South Korea, the ship is owned by OOCL and deployed within the Ocean Alliance (incorporating COSCO, CMA CGM & Evergreen), serving the Asia-Europe trade lane.
