New Covid outbreaks in Shenzhen, requires factories and offices within the City to temporarily close.

Outside of these high risk areas, companies can still work normally and the ports of Shenzhen are still operating. As usual, drivers who are attending the ports have to product a negative nucleic acid test report before being allowed in.

The Local Government in Shenzhen has placed the entire City of Shenzhen on lockdown for an initial period of 7 days.

Any partner offices which are in these areas and affected, staff are now working from home and will continue to service the needs of their customers and agents without issue. Shipping lines who are also affected are working from home and this could delay bookings and documentation.

In the surrounding regions of Shenzhen, such as Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Shunde and Foshan, these are not impacted and normal services remain.

Shanghai has also had Covid outbreaks and is also therefore affected, again with factories and offices having to close or work from home.

The port terminals/depots are still working, although there appears to be some disruption to landside transportation.

There maybe some issues with trucking services between Shanghai and nearby cities in the regions of Zhejiang/Jiangsu where factories are located, alternative options through Ningbo can be offered.

We are getting regular updates from our partners concerning this current situation and we will continue to find solutions where possible to assist both suppliers and customers.
